The Airoha ® EN8808Q is a highly integrated eight-port Gigabit Ethernet transceivers with QSGMII interface. The Airoha ® EN8808Q contains eight full-duplex 10BASE-T/100BASE-Tx/1000BASE-T transceivers and 10BASE-T /100BASE-Tx can run at half-duplex, each of which performs all the physical layer interface functions.

On the Ethernet twisted pair interface, the Airoha ® EN8808Q is compliant with 10Base-T (IEEE 802.3), 100Base-TX (IEEE 802.3u) and 1000Base-T (IEEE 802.3ab).

QSGMII (Quad Serial Gigabit Media Independent Interface) reduces PCB complexity and IC pin count. This innovative 5Gbps serial interface provides an up to 10 inch MAC to PHY communication path. QSGMII can carry the full duplex gigabit Ethernet data streams of four ports simultaneously with only 4 pins.

A standard MDIO management interface allows a management entity of external MAC chip to access standard MDC / MDIO registers to control the Airoha ® EN8808Q or to read the link status.
