  • The AN8911 is a highly integrated low power PAM4 DSP SoC, supporting 64/32/16GFC fibre channel and 50GbE applications. It has a high-speed electrical interface to the host ASIC via a module connector, and a high-speed optical interface to fiber via optical components.

  • Equipped with re-timer and equalizer functions, the AN8911 retimes and equalizes a 57.8Gbps PAM4 or 28.05, 14.025Gbps NRZ host side signal for fibre channel application, and 53.125Gbps PAM4, 26.5625 and 10.3125Gbps NRZ host side signal for 50GbE application, into corresponding line side signal.

  • It also supports gearbox function by turning 2x26.5625Gbps NRZ host side signal into 53.125Gbps PAM4 line side signal.

  • For cost-effective and compact assemblies, the AN8911 has an embedded VCSEL driver with single-ended output to drive VCSEL directly for MMF link, it also supports differential output to interface with external laser diode driver. With on-chip clock synthesis feature, the AN8911 can generate 156.25/212.5MHz clock for fibre channel/50GbE applications by single 50MHz crystal oscillator.

  • This chipset is in a compact 6mmx6mm package footprint, suitable for next generation optical module applications.
